Doing our part to make our world a better place.

Sin City Chamber Special Events are designed to highlight one of our non-profit members.  The Sin City Chamber of Commerce is a for-profit chamber, however, we feel highlighting a good cause is one of the benefits the community deserves.  Oddly enough, some businesses find it difficult to find a charity that will accept their contribution.

BMW Motorcycles of Las Vegas and many other Sin City Members Celebrate at 4th Annual SCCC Holiday Party And Toy Drive

December 10, 2007, Las Vegas, NV - The Sin City Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) is pleased to announce that our 4th Annual Toy Drive has successfully gathered nearly 1,000 Toys for the Foundation for Positively Kids, the Friends and Family of Incarcerated Parents and several special children in need in Clark County.  On December 8, 2007 over thee hundred SCCC guests representing hundreds of Las Vegas' businesses gathered at Sin Gentlemen's Club (soon to be Penthouse Las Vegas) with toys in hand to wish joy to all.

"This is the time of year to think of others and not ourselves. I have had such an amazing ride and a terrific year and do what i can to give something back.  I am grateful that the SCCC is here to help get toys for kids who are underprivileged. In this "more more more" society, it is truly rewarding to be allowed to help out and share our abundance with others." commented Tera Patrick, President of Teravision and a Proud Member of the SCCC.

Summit for Sin City 2007

One Down, One to Go As Director of Corporate Giving, Erika Napoletano, Completes First Fundraising Climb

The Sin City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Erika Napoletano, Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Board and newly-named Director of Corporate Giving, has just completed her first fundraising climb for 2007.  On June 30th, Erika made a successful summit of Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous 48 states at 14,505 feet above sea level.  She completed the climb as a day-hike, clocking 22 miles round-trip from trailhead to summit with an elevation gain/loss of 6100 feet throughout the journey.

Erika’s climb of Mt. Whitney marks the successful completion of the first of two peaks she is climbing this year to benefit local Las Vegas non-profit organizations.  100% of the proceeds raised by her climbs will be divided among the following 501 (c)(3) organizations:

To-date, Erika has received donations totaling over $1500 and will continue to raise funds until the commencement of her second climb in early August.

"We could not be more astounded by Erika and the work she does for the community" commented Michael Russell, Executive Vice President.  "She doesn't just talk the talk of a dedicated activist, she climbs the climb.  The Sin City Chamber of Commerce is truly pleased to be able to support Erika and Summit for Sin City, which in turn, supports our Non-Profit Members."

For her second peak, Erika will be completing a climb of Mt. Rainier, the highest volcano and largest glaciated mountain in the contiguous U.S.  This climb is a full-on alpine climb with technical aspects, and the summit rests 14,410 feet above sea level.  She will be heading for the summit via the Emmons Glacier route and departs for Seattle on August 4, 2007.

“Honestly, I’m just delighted that my passion for mountaineering and the outdoors can have such a positive impact on the Las Vegas community.  It’s great to be able to give!  It fills my heart with an incredible sense of serenity to know that truly, we’re all connected, and the outpouring of support I’ve received has been simply overwhelming,” says Erika.

“I was going to climb these mountains anyway, and I’m extremely fortunate to have the backing of the Sin City Chamber of Commerce and the Las Vegas Mountaineers Club to help promote my efforts.  The non-profit organizations in our city give so much back to the community with their efforts day-in, day-out … I felt that this was the least I could do.  My tag line for these climbs really comes from the heart:  When Sin City Summits, Everyone Reaches the Top.”

The Sin City Chamber of Commerce is a business networking organization committed to promoting diversity within the Las Vegas business community.  Previous benefactors of the fundraising efforts of the Chamber have included Corps of Compassion, The Shade Tree, Friends and Family of Incarcerated Parents, Positively Kids, For Kids Now, The Free Speech Coalition, and Task Force Phoenix.

Wearing the jump suit of her belated father, a Veteran of World War II, during her Sin City Sky Dive for the Corps of Compassion, Aunt Sharron of Exhibit City News, looks towards the sky after landing and says "that was for you Dad."

Las Vegas, NV - May 21, 2007:  The Sin City Chamber of Commerce (www.sincitychamberofcommerce.com) is pleased to announce the safe return of every skydiver in the first ever Sin City Sky Dive for the Corps of Compassion.  This amazing event was graciously and professionally hosted by Chamber Member SkyDiveLasVegas.Com at their hangar in Boulder City, NV. a short drive out of Las Vegas.

Fearless and compassionate Event Sponsor, David Sutton from VCX, Ltd.(www.vcx.com) jumped along side of fellow chamber Member, Goldie Sparxxx (www.goldiesparxxx.com.)  Goldie Sparxxx appeared courtesy of Hot Shot Studios and VCX, Ltd.  It was easy to see the joy and delight as David was heard to say, "I could see me taking the lessons to jump alone and do this again and again."

This event was made possible thanks to our Event Sponsors:  VCX, Ltd., On-Site Dental, Desert Logo and cocktail party sponsor Southern Wine & Spirits.  Nine Jumpers in total along with a group of supporters and Chamber Members all were thrilled by this unique networking event.

The Sin City Sky Dive was led by first time Skydiver Wayne Bridge (over 60!), CEO of the Sin City Chamber of Commerce.  With a smile on his face ear to ear, Wayne Bridge landed and commented, "This was a conscious changing experience for me.  Incredible!"

The second waive of Sin City Skydiver's was led by Michael Russell, Executive Vice President.

Reliving the Dive - "The plane taxied down the runway and we had a few minutes to get settled, double check we were tightly strapped in, the professionals at SkyDiveLasVegas.com were safety conscious at all times.  The view from the sky as we flew was a perspective unlike anything else.  We could see the Colorado River snake its way through the stretches of desert mountains which appeared to be every kind of tan and brown you can imagine."

"The cool blue water of Lake Mead glistened as the awe inspiring Hoover Dam stood out dramatically.  Just as I became fixed on the beauty of the mountains, I could feel the cabin get very cool.  We were reaching altitude.  We made our last turn toward the landing area about 15,000 feet down.  I was to be the last out of the plane and I saw my fearless fellow skydivers, one by one, fall into the open air."

"It was my turn, I got on my knees, thought of my wife Adriana real quick, and heave hoe, we flew out of the plane.  The thrill at that point was the most dramatic for me.  It was a sense of leaving it all behind and welcoming the future that rushed at you at about 125 MPH.  I maneuvered my hands and legs as instructed as we fell and looked up to my right to see our plane make a steep left and then dive to the right only a hundred or so yards from me.  That was too cool."

"The fall itself was incredible, the loud rush of wind. . .you would not think it but you have the time to take a look around and see the world from an almost body free experience.  Your spirit simply flies through the sky and then suddenly you feel the pull of the parachute opening, altering your experience entirely.  Still about 3,500 feet up I looked down to see my legs dangling underneath me and then I looked up and thanked god for that beautiful canopy!"  Michael Russell, Executive Vice President.

Special thanks go out to SkyDiveLasVegas.com for bringing everyone down to Earth safely and providing us with this amazing opportunity to thrill our members and help our friends at the Corps of Compassion.  Monies committed will be collected this week and presented to the Corps of Compassion in hopes that it helps in the wonderful work they do.

A Little Bit Naughty and a Whole Lot of Nice

Sin City Chamber Holiday Party and Toy Drive Single Most Successful Philanthropic Endeavor to Date

Las Vegas, NV, December 8, 2006:  The 3rd Annual Sin City Chamber of Commerce Holiday Party and Toy Drive was a great success having collected over $15,000 in Toy Donations to be divided among 3 Member Non-Profits:  the Foundation for Positively Kids, the Friends and Family of Incarcerated Parents, and the Corps of Compassion.  With donations that ranged from giant bears to board games, the night would not have been possible without the sponsorship of Nancy Monaco-Tucker of New Beginnings Laser Rejuvenation and Ken Green of the Chicken Ranch Brothel.  Both New Beginnings and the Chicken Ranch are to be commended for their dedication to the Las Vegas Community for their contribution to this event which is the single most successful philanthropic endeavor for the Sin City Chamber of Commerce.

"For a Chamber with roughly 425 members and to have over 450 show up for just our 3rd Annual Holiday Party, we are over the moon.  I could have cried when I saw the generous contributions from our guests, some bringing bags of toys, some carrying several board games under their arms, all bringing the Love they feel for this community" commented Loretta Holt, President.  "The Sin City Chamber of Commerce continues to thrill the Las Vegas Business and Networking Community.  Not to be redundant but this was our biggest event ever and we are so very proud and honored to be able to contributed the toys to 3 great charities."

The event hosted by Sin City Chamber Member, the Empire Ballroom, was open to Sin City Chamber Members and and non-members bearing unwrapped toys.  The grand location of the Empire Ballroom was enhanced by the professionalism of the security staff, the bar staff, and management.  The Empire Ballroom contributed the room for the night to the Sin City Chamber party and was an ideal location for this event.

The event included a very sexy and at times naughty Sin City Lingerie and Fashion Show, with MC Ryan from Wet Radio, sponsored by Deja Vu and Little Darlings Gentlemen's Clubs.  The stars of the show included Adult Entertainers from Seymour Butt's Talent Agency  Michelle Honey and Rucca Page.  Both Michelle and Rucca dazzled the crowd with their charming personality, beauty and of course their sinfully sexy lingerie.  Each are now welcomed members of the Sin City Chamber of Commerce and are appreciated for their contribution to the success of the show.

Bob Proden of Deja Vu and the entire organization deserve a lot of credit for providing their beautiful entertainers for the show that included designs by Night Moves (Commercial Center.)  The Entertainers from Deja Vu (Jody, Pearl, Anastasia, Karissa and Ally) contributed their time to this great cause and were truly gracious guests that were touched by the occasion.  Bobbi Johnson from Night Moves orchestrated the entire fashion show with husband Larry and thrilled the crowd with their designs.

"The Sin City Chamber of Commerce provided an amazing networking experience for the Las Vegas Business Community tonight and we could not be more proud to help orchestrate the Sin City Fashion and Lingerie Show with them"  commented Bobbi Johnson of Night Moves.  "We are proud members of the Sin City Chamber and are very proud to be a part of an event like this that positively impacts our community."

Blues Singer, Rhayne, with who could only be described as the younger shadow of BB King, Jeff Medina on guitar, delighted the crowd with some blues classics.  Rhayne appeared courtesy of an individual sponsorship by BMW Motorcycles of Las Vegas.  The staging of the show included three bikes from the BMW Motorcycle showroom off the 215 and Tenaya.  Other entertainment included comedians A.D. and Don Ternegal, as well as, Kelly Kellam a solo guitarist that swooned the ladies.

The evening ended with a fire brigade like passing of toy from member to member as we loaded the nearly 1,000 toys into a truck sponsored by our friends at First Source Logistic.  First Source will be warehousing the toys until the Sin City Chamber Executive Staff can distribute to the three charities aforementioned.  Part of the toys will be distributed at the Friends and Family of Incarcerated Persons Holiday Party later in December.

Special thanks to Monica Broglia from the Empire Ballroom and to Kreative Rekognition, Integrated Business and Tax Solutions, Charlie's Import Auto Service, Desert Specialties for their food sponsorship, as well as, caterer and fellow member, Pampas Brazillian Grille.  Thank you to our amazing volunteers for their hard work and dedication to the Sin City Chamber of Commerce:  Erik Moll of Residential Mortgage Services, Terry Bradley of Color Gamut Digital Imaging, and Louis Levin of Century Twenty-One , the Las Vegas Wranglers , DJ Big Daddy, Magician Michael Pasco, Model Johnny Winter, as well as, Wenda and Mike from Hot Shot Studios.

Planned 2007 Sin City Chamber Philanthropic Events:  Spring BBQ and Golf Classic with Chicken Ranch and Deja Vu to support the Free Speech Coalition, Sin City Sky Dive for the Corps of Compassion, Lake Mead Experience, Fall Golf Classic, and 2007 Holiday Party.  The Sin City Chamber of Commerce is a for profit company that organizes special events that help our Non-Profit Members enhance their visibility and raise funds.

Holiday Party Photos:

Good Spirit:  Gorgeous Entertainers like Pearl (above)  from Deja Vu and Little Darlings thrilled the crowd in the designs by Night Moves.  Pearl works with all new entertainers at Deja Vu and helps with their choreography and orientation.  Note the friendly spirit that makes an appearance in the photo with the "SC" presumably for Sin City?

Not Just a Marketing Manager - Jody from Deja Vu (above) was not supposed to be in the show but had to fill in  for a last minute cancellation.  Jody is the Marketing Manager for Deja Vu and has obviously been on the runway before. . . Jody was instrumental in the organization of the fashion show and is one of Deja Vu's representatives to the Sin City Chamber of Commerce.

Sweet and Sexy Michelle Honey and Rucca Page - Two gorgeous adult stars walked the Sin City Fashion Show Runway for a great cause.  Both Michelle and Rucca appeared through multiple wardrobe changes and stayed to network with the Agents, Producers, and Business Executives of the Sin City Chamber of Commerce.  Both Michelle Honey and Rucca Page were awarded Honorary Membership in the Sin City Chamber of Commerce for 2007.
